Science is at the heart of everything MES does. Through fieldwork and long-term monitoring we track the state and trends of wild species and their habitats across the country.

The data is gathered by researchers and volunteers — including through citizen-science efforts such as the winter waterbird census — and the results are published in scientific outlets and inform conservation decisions.
